Root canal treatment is a procedure to provide relief from dental pain and save your tooth or teeth from decay. Root canal treatment becomes necessary when the pulp, which is the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected due to :

• Deep decay (cavity) in tooth
• An injury to a tooth which may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks
